Sony Ericsson have announced a new edition to the illustrious Cyber-shot range in the shape of the Sony Ericsson C903. What sets this new slider Cyber-shot apart from its stable mates and the various other camera phones vying for your attention? Well first things first, in a colour that Sony Ericsson are calling ‘Glamour Red’, the C903 is certainly going to get you noticed.
The C903 features a 5.0 Megapixel camera with a host of goodies that justify the Cyber-shot brand; Face detection, smile detection, image stabilisation, dual LED flash and autofocus all make the cut and all help to deliver rich images dripping in detail. The design of the phone has also taken a healthy dose of inspiration from Sony’s digital camera range. On the back of the phone, the camera lens cover makes up the majority of the case and slides down to reveal a silver strip which houses the camera. This added to the small and compact size helps to provide a stylish camera phone that people will easily mistake for a top of the range Sony digital camera.
As is standard for new phones of this caliber, the C903 features HSDPA connectivity promising a speedy web browsing experience with full support for YouTube. The appearance of GPS with A-GPS support is a pleasant surprise and supports both location based services and Geo-tagging your photos. As to be expected with a Sony Ericsson phone, the built in MP3 player is complimented by the popular TrackID application as well as a built in FM radio.
The Sony Ericsson C903 looks set to be a great addition to the Cyber-shot family with an excellent camera and more than enough going for it in other departments too. Penciled in for a launch in May, click here to register for updates and keep an eye out for our full review over the coming weeks.
