LG KF600 Venus mobile phone

LG Venus

The LG KF600 Venus is a smart style slide design mobile phone, with a unique dual display touchscreen. With the handset in the closed position, the outside screen is split into two sections. The top half is a standard QVGA screen, 240 x 320 pixels supporting up to 262,000 colours. The bottom part of the screen is a touchscreen, a move on from the touch sensitive keys found on the LG KG800 Chocolate. If touchscreen is not your thing, the phone slides up to reveal a well spaced easy to use keypad.

Feature wise the KF600 Venus ticks all the right boxes for a modern day mobile phone. Incorporated is a 3.0 megapixel camera, FM radio and an MP3 player. The Venus also supports Bluetooth 2.0, which allows you to listen to your favourite music with a compatible wireless Bluetooth headset. The phone has a dedicated music player button on the side of the handset for quick access to the music player, and is also equipped with a 3.5mm audio output jack so you can use your favourite headphones, if you wish.

The LG Venus also has an email client, allowing you to send and retrieve mail on the move, plus a web browser and support for java. Java support allows you to add extra programs to the handset, such as the excellent Opera Mini web browser, the Gmail email client or even extra games.

Data wise, LG’s KF600 has support for GPRS and EDGE, allowing for high speed mobile browsing on compatible networks. The battery life on the KF600 is good, coming in at up to 300 hours standby and 180 minutes talktime.
