The mobile phone designers must be working flat out at the moment, constantly coming up with new and innovative ways to modernise the mobile phone. But what does your average consumer want from their phone in the future? Will fingerprint recognition and retina scans really be the must have? Or will solar powered batteries and energy efficient lighting be the way forward?
It seems such a long time ago when having a camera on your phone was the must have, not forgetting a colour screen. Those were the days when phones were simple, technology was fairly basic and all a phone was used for was calls and texts. Now the demand on technology has increased due to the mobile office and designers are expected to surpass expectations and come up with the newest and fastest of technologies.
Is it the simpler things that make a phone better though? Is it a simple chain on the phone connecting it to your trousers like on the Levi phone? Or is it a higher specification of camera like on the N95? Should we be spending more time and effort modifying the existing technology before creating new technology?
