Apple announced the launch of the iPhone in the UK this morning at an exclusive event held at Londons flagship Apple store on Regents Street. The handset will retail at 269 plus a monthly contract fee of 35, 45 or 50 per month from O2.
Both Steve Jobs, the CEO of Apple and Matthew Keys, a spokesperson from O2 confirmed the long awaited rumours that O2 have teamed up with Apple.
The iPhone will be sold through Carphone Warehouse, O2 and Apple stores, and will be available from 9th November 2007.
