Review of GSM-handset Nokia 5310 XpressMusic

Mobile-review have posted their review of the music focused Nokia 5310 XpressMusic. Here is the final impression.

Impressions
The volume presented by 64-chord ring tones is average, overall the 5310 is not the loudest device around, so we experienced some difficulties with hearing it in the street, and it lacked volume indoors as well. Actually, this is our major gripe with the handset. In terms of reception quality, the phone is flawless. The vibro alert is middling strength-wise, but you will feel the phones vibration while it is in your pocket.

Given its current price tag of 230 Euro (in Europe), this phone appears to be a pretty good way to go if you are looking for an entry-level music playing solution it is quite petty and sports all the goodies of the S40 5th edition under the hood. The youth wont find a better offering if they are after a straightforward and functional phone, when getting used to a smartphone is not an option.

If you are a music buff, you will be better off with the senior models, even though you won't notice much of a difference between them sound-wise with a pair of custom earphones plugged in. They will come jam-packed with accessories and different form-factors.

On balance, the 5310 is the handset opening Nokias music range. It is a potent device, not without some flaws, yet boasting an array of advantages as well. It probably wont be a best seller, but will generate some solid sales.

The guys over at Tesladownunder decided to construct a Christmas tree by "building a frame around a standard Tesla coil to shape the spark pattern." Click here for first picture in gallery.

The different colors are achieved by using my color filter setup. This gets changed during exposure so that the tree sparks are green and the star sparks are yellow

It seems like every man, woman and child wants a Nintendo Wii this Christmas, which is no surprise considering the Wii is simply the most fun games console ever devised. Sadly nationwide stock shortages mean deliveries to the High Street multiples are selling out literally within minutes of the consoles going on shelves and many people are going to be disappointed on Christmas Day.

Fortunately, Online Retailer of the Year 2007 winner Mobiles.co.uk has come to the rescue of many stressed-out parents! Mobiles.co.uk is now part of the Carphone Warehouse Group who against all the odds has secured large stocks of the Nintendo Wii for mobile phone customers.

Even better, although normally retailing at 179.99, we are giving away a free Nintendo Wii with selected pay monthly deals, including the top selling Nokia 6300 on Orange. And to ensure happy smiling faces on the big day we’ll be despatching each Free Nintendo Wii within just seven days of despatch of the phone. Just make sure you order by 10th December to get yours in time for Christmas.

So if the Wii is proving to be the must-have for you this Christmas and you’ve been thinking of getting a new phone anyway then kill two birds with one stone and get yourself a great deal and a hassle-free Wii.

Tag Heuer phone mock ups

Here are some mock ups (pretty old...I know but still interesting) of what the Tag Heuer phone might look like. It is said that the phone will be integrated into what they are famous for...their watches. I think that it is a great idea since there aren't really any really good mobile phone watches (not including the Sony Ericsson bluetooth watches)...but there are many pretty hideous Chinese ones. It's going to be a while till we will be seeing this on the market. Enjoy the pics meantime.

Asides from that, I think this is one of the nicest looking phone Samsung has ever built. It looks absolutely gorgeous and just oozes style and premium quality. There are pics further below comparing it to the Nokia N82. In this case, I like the G800 looks more than the N82 (not that the N82 doesn't look good...). Here is the G800 product recap.

The Samsung G800 is the answer for customers needs to have the perfect digital camera and the perfect multimedia mobile combined into one single device. For example, optical zoom is very common in most digital cameras, but the Samsung G800 is the first and only 5 megapixel camera phone to have this capability. Features such as face detection, and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR), which are very up-to-date features even in todays digital cameras, are also equipped in the new G800.

The Samsung G800 helps its owners to capture fragments of their lives vividly and to express themselves beyond words.
